Compassion for the ANZACs

To show compassion, my Mum and I did a bike ride to the ANZAC war memorial in Kaiapoi. I enjoyed learning about the history and I learned that my Dad used to go to the ANZAC parade when he did his army training.
This is a photo of me standing at the war memorial thinking about the soldiers that fought in the  war

  1. Hi Aiden
What an amazing thing to do, it is important we remember those soldiers who fought in the war. It will be a strange day on Anzac day with no parades.

  2. Kia Ora Aiden,

this was a wonderful idea, it is important to not just think about the soldiers on ANZAC Day. That is great that you have a personal connection to ANZAC commemorations. What is something you've learned that you have found interesting about WW1?

  4. Hi Aiden,

Yes it was. I think they called it that hoping that we wouldn't have another war that big again. Unfortunately we also had World War 2 last century and there have been various other wars too. It was a lovely idea to show your compassion for those soldiers who served in the wars by spending some time thinking of them.
