Today I went to the zoo and I saw a bunch of people around the giraffe enclosure. I tried to get a better look. Then I finally got through and I saw why I saw a giraffe doing this. It was upside down and looked like It was kissing wood well it looked like it. The zookeeper said its been like that for a we while but then we all had to get out because it was closing time I guess that I had to misread the email they sent me so let me just say….

I got an invisible ink pen so I wait till dark and then I can shine my pen torch yeah it has a torch on it and anyway you can shine the torch on it and it makes glow really cool.

Compatible numbers

This week I learnt about a new strategy called compatible numbers the way to use  compatible numbers is 12+38+50+60-10

I would do 12+38=50 then I would do 50+50 and that= 100+ 60=160-10=150

MATH!!

I had 34 toys and I got 14 more and I was given 19 then i donated 17 to charity.

 How many do i have left. 34+14+19-17.

So I had 16 dogs and 4 cats and I picked up 8 rats 5 birds flew in the house then 12 monkeys came then 9 ran away 24 fell asleep how many would I have awake.

16+4+8+5+12-9-24

Emma twigg

 Today I made an Article on Emma twigg hope its good this is my first Article/newspaper Article.

Emma twigg is a champion

Emma Twigg won gold in rowing in Tokyo on Friday.It was very exciting

Twigg stayed in first place the whole time. At the end of the race Twigg was filled with tears of joy. "I didn't hear the hooter and thought I had stopped before the line".

Twigg was born on 1 march 1987 and began rowing in 2001.Twigg has retired from rowing twice but she thinks she can do it and she can that's why she got the gold medal. 

In conclusion I think Twigg is an excellent rowing player. She is a nice person and she doesn't get super angry if she loses.

Book review on billionaire boy

Billionaire boy

“Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a million dollars, or a billion. or how about a trillion, or even a gazillion!
Meet Joe Spud.”

Joe Spud is the main character in the book. He likes cars and is surrounded by money. Joe just wants a true friend that is reliable and trusting.  He lives in a mansion with his Mr Spud and he has a couple of 123456 billion dollars( Ok maybe i am exaggerating).  He has at least 4 billion dollars.

 Raj is a character in the book too and he works in the dairy selling out of date and over priced chocolate.

The author's name is David Walliams. He is 48 and his other books were Code Name Bananas, Little Monsters, and The World's Worst Parents. I think you should go to your nearest Library and get  the book out. Tell all of your friends and family about the book as well!

I think this book is suitable for ages 7 to 70. I rate this book 4 and a half out of 5. I rate it 4 and a half because of the interesting ideas  .

In conclusion I think that you will like this book so go down to your nearest library or bookstore!

In writing we have been looking at haikus. We went to the domain to look and play in the leaves and then we wrote about them in our writing book.

Recount/title:Refuge walk

On Monday 10th the senior syndicate and I went to the red zone  we were pretending to be refugees. After the walk i felt safe in NZ i felt really sorry what everyone has been through.

We did four activities building secure huts, holding on to a partner with them blind folded and walking through landmines, writing on paper to get out and eating rice.

W.A.L.t write a limerick In room 2 we have been writing limericks. A limerick is something that has,5 or 7 lines and lines 1 to 3 and 5 rime but 3 and 4 do not rime like the others. So what i mean is 3 and 4 have different riming words, to the others.

Once there was a man named Bob,

Who had a massive gob. He swallowed a log, and then a hog! And that was the end of Bob!
